I still don't understand it, I've read it over 5 times its like they're criticizing him in the beginning, then praising him near the end, but in a shitty way? It’s trying to frame him as some sort of sad old man who wants to have his own news network, and that he isn’t funny anymore… it really, really bothers me and always did. I actually wrote a post about it when it came out talking about why the article doesn’t make sense and is a huge overreaction to a comedian who TIME AND TIME AGAIN has explained that he is just that: a comedian. But that doesn’t mean he can’t care about things and believe in certain causes. Having a heart doesn’t make him some sort of phony… Honestly, it seems like some pretentious writer at Esquire wanted to make something out of nothing and just decided to ramble on about something they obviously hadn’t thought through.

Of course, I am a huge fan of his and love 97% of what he does, so I’m biased. Still, when I read that article I’m like…
